1st Annual Family Picnic & Pig Roast

FOP Longmont Lodge 6 Annual Police Employee Pig Roast & Picnic

This Sunday, June 8th Longmont FOP Lodge 6 will be hosting its 6th annual “Police Employee Pig Roast & Picnic” at Union Reservoir.  Union Reservoir is located off Rd 26 Just south of 9th Avenue and County Rd 1, on the east side of Longmont.  The picnic begins at 11:00 AM and will go all afternoon.

This year one of our Officers’ father is roasting the pig for us.  There will be music, bouncy bounce, lots of food and drinks.  Come one come all.  EVERYONE is invited.  Bring family and friends.  What a wonderful opportunity to hang out with everybody away from work.  This annual Longmont Lodge 6 event is open to all police employees, their families, and friends.  Tickets are available for purchase from Lise DeBroy, Kris Ford or Sandie Sanchez for $7.00 per adult.  Children under 18 are free! You will need to show the Park Ranger your tickets at the entrance in order to get you park usage fee waived.

The Lodge makes no money off this event.  Ticket prices are determined to offset anticipated cost.  The FOP covers any shortfalls.  In addition these events like the others that FOP Lodge 6 hosts annually are assisted by donations.  Lodge 6 is a non-profit corporation and donations to our events are tax deductible.  Later this summer on Saturday, August 9th, FOP Longmont Lodge 6 will also be hosting its 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Ute Creek Golf Course.

BENEFITING

THE MISSING CHILDREN’S TASK FORCE,

THE DOMINIC ROMITO FOUNDATION - DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY FUND

&

THE DEVI SUESS CANCER RELIEF FUND

On Saturday, August 9, 2008 the Longmont Fraternal Order of Police is celebrating its' 5th benefit golf tournament at Longmont’s beautiful Ute Creek Golf Course. This tournament is open to the public. We again expect to fill all 128 entrees. A portion of the proceeds will go to three worthy charities: "The Missing Children Task Force", “The Devi Suess Cancer Fund”, and the “The Dominic Romito Foundation Muscular Dystrophy Fund".

This tournament is be held at one of Northern Colorado’s finest golf courses.  There is nothing quite like the experience of playing a new golf course for the first time. The anticipation of making that first swing and driving into the unknown is a unique feeling. Ute Creek, designed by the world-renowned golf course architects of the Robert Trent Jones II Group, opened in 1997. This 18-hole championship course is a Par 72, ranging in length from 5,509 yards to 7,167 yards. Ute Creek is one of only six Robert Trent Jones II courses in Colorado, and the only one on the northern Front Range. Its five lakes, two creeks, multi-level fairways and native grass areas will provide challenge and interest for players of all abilities.
